With so many apps now available on the App Store, it’s becoming harder and harder for iPhone users to find anything worth buying. And with so many people now using RSS feeds to consume their news, picking a dedicated app has become a difficult task to overcome.

While NetNewsWire is only one of dozens of RSS readers on the App Store, it’s also one of the most feature-packed.

The app syncs with Google Reader, Twitter and Instapaper, and allows users to choose whether they want to view their individual feeds from a list or in a folder directly from the home screen – a feature neglected by many other RSS apps.

Syncing is extremely fast, but this is mostly due to the fact the app doesn’t cache images. Users can also “star” images as favourites, and view the latest news within the last 24 hours in a quick-pick menu.

It’s expensive at $5.99, but well worth the price for the convenience. NetNewsWire is also available for the iPad.
