Social networking giant Facebook has launched a new comment system for blogs and other publications that will allow users to show off their comments to their friends.

The new system is being designed so publications and other blogs can integrate their websites into Facebook, ensuring their content is shared with as many people as possible.

“The updated Comments Box provides moderation tools that were created based on developer feedback,” Facebook said in a new blog post.

“Admins can choose to make the default for new comments entered either “visible to everyone” or “has limited visibility” on the site (ie., the comment is only visible to the commenter and their friends), to help mitigate irrelevant content.”

The move comes as Facebook has also updated its “Like” button this week to include more sharing features.
