Payments start-up Square is now processing more than $US1 million per day, according to a tweet sent by company founder Jack Dorsey.
Last year the company said it was processing millions every week, but it looks as if that bar has now been surpassed.
Square has been growing strongly over the past year. According to TechCrunch the company gained $27.5 million in new funding earlier this year, and also announced it would drop credit card surcharges for businesses
The company aims its product at small businesses and merchants – users can take credit card payments by attaching a card reader through the audio port of an iPhone or Pad.
