A new rumour posted by Macotakara suggests the next version of the iPhone 5 will revert back to the original design.

According to a Chinese source, the phone will also use the entire back-plate as an antenna and will be covered in aluminium.

The move would be a shift away from using the external antenna on the iPhone 4 design – a choice which caused Apple significant headaches last year. The company was forced to give out free cases for users after it was found the external antenna affected signal quality.

It is also said the new version of the iPhone is a response to the ease at which the iPhone 4 glass is scratched and the difficulty in painting the phones white.

The rumour also states the iPhone 5 will use the A5 processor.
