According to a report from Yahoo, guests at the Royal Wedding will not be permitted to update their Twitter accounts from the event itself.

A police official has told the website that signal-blocking technology will be installed at Westminster Abbey, preventing the 1,900 attendees from accessing their gadgets.

It is reported that the idea was first suggested by the royal family, and security personnel have been working to implement the idea over the past few days.

Officials also want to make sure that guests won’t disrupt the ceremony by having their phones ring, and that television broadcasters won’t catch anyone looking at their phones.
