Apple is one of the most trusted brands in the world. It’s a success story for how simple brands can do a lot more for a company than complicated advertising. Here, Jobs describes his outlook on branding, and specifically praises Nike for its simplistic approach.

He also muses on how Apple has reached that point, and his own views on branding.

“Our customers want to know what is Apple, and where we sit in this world. And what we’re about isn’t making boxes for people to get their jobs done, although we do that well. We do that better than almost anybody in some cases. Apple, at the core, with core values, is that we believe that people with passion can change the world for the better.”

The importance of stealing ideas

Advice for entrepreneurs

Last year Jobs appeared on stage with Microsoft founder Bill Gates and gave some great quotes on the industry and both men. But Jobs also gave a piece of advice to budding entrepreneurs – you really have to love what you do, or you’ll just quit.

“It’s so hard, that any rational person would give up… if you don’t really love it, you’re going to give up.”
