Apple has released a new version of iTunes Beta for developers, which includes the new iTunes Match service that was announced several weeks ago.
The service, which will allow iTunes users to “match” their iTunes Library music in the cloud with higher-quality versions, even if that music wasn’t purchased on the iTunes Store, is set to launch later this year.
“To get started with iTunes Match, download the current version of iOS 5 beta and iTunes 10.5 beta 6.1 with iTunes Match,” Apple said in its latest release.
Apple has warned developers that if they take part in the beta they will need to ensure they have a copy of their music.
iTunes Match Beta is currently only available to developers in the United States.
