Guy King founded online coupon site RetailMeNot in 2007 and it quickly became one of the popular internet destinations worldwide. He sold it to Whaleshark Media last year in a deal rumoured to be worth tens of millions of dollars.

King’s favourite piece of tech is an iPhone app that seems simple enough, but helps improve productivity in a big way.

“There’s a great little iPhone app called Plaintext. It’s a simple text editor, but it automatically syncs with DropBox and just has a file with all of your text files in there.”

“You can open it, update your notes, and you can sync them across devices. So I look at notes on my iPhone, change them on my desktop. It’s simple, but I tend to use it a lot.”
