Apple has cut orders for iPad production that could lead to lower sales, according to a new report from Bloomberg.
The report indicates that supply chain vendors have said that in the past fortnight, Apple has reduced iPad orders by a quarter – one of the company’s biggest ever cuts.
The report also states that the fewer order numbers could be a symptom of weaker demand in Europe, as poor economic conditions continue, especially due to fears over the sovereign debt crisis.
The move comes as Apple reportedly prepares for the release of the iPad 3 next year, which is said to include a higher resolution screen and faster processing components.
