Apple will launch a new iPhone next year that will feature LTE capabilities, according to a new report from DigiTimes.
The publication reports that according to sources in the manufacturing industries, Nokia, Apple and Research In Motion will launch LTE-enabled phones as more carriers start upgrading their networks to handle the technology.
While LTE networks have already taken off in the United States, in Australia they have been slower to arrive – Telstra recently announced it would launch its own LTE network.
There were rumours earlier this year that Apple would release an LTE-enabled phone, but those were quashed by the release of the iPhone 4S.
