Research In Motion has warned that it will not debut several of its new smartphones until later in 2012.
During an investor’s call, according to Engadget, the company’s co-chief executive Mike Lazaridis said the company is waiting on a chipset that won’t be available until midway through next year.
The devices to be delayed are in the BlackBerry 10 line-up.
The company said during the call that it can’t find a suitable alternative that would provide the same amount of power and battery life.
RIM has suffered a number of setbacks this year, with analysts criticising the company for losing market share to Android and Apple.
