Google CEO Larry Page is having high level talks with Apple CEO Tim Cook in the aftermath of Apple’s recent victory in a smartphone patent lawsuit against Samsung.
According to Reuters, the two executives have had phone conversations in the past week, and more discussions are expected over the coming weeks, alongside meetings between lower level executives at both companies.
There was also reportedly a face-to-face meeting between senior executives from both companies scheduled for Friday (US time), although the meeting has been postponed.
Following Apple’s win against Samsung in a recent patent lawsuit, in which it was granted over $US1 billion in damages, Google issued a press statement downplaying the implications of the trial for its Android smartphone software.
