Samsung has made an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich available to Australian customers using unlocked handsets.
The news comes a week after the upgrade became available to Galaxy S2 users on the Optus network last week, following weeks of trials.
The Korean smartphone maker is also rolling out a similar upgrade in the US and Europe, which is expected to improve the marketshare of Ice Cream Sadnwich above its previous level of 2.4%.
Users interested in upgrading are advised to download Kies from Samsung to receive the upgrade.
