Google has announced a series of special events, with analysts also expecting new product announcements including an update of the company’s popular Nexus 7 tablet.
In a cryptic move, Google has posted countdowns to two upcoming events on its official developer blog.
The first, titled “Chrome Mobile Special Event”, is scheduled at June 7 1 p.m.-1:30 p.m. (EDT), while the second is called “Mobile Chrome Special Event” and is scheduled for June 13 at 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (US EDT).
Both blog posts currently have a clock counting down to the start time of the respective events, although Google has not yet made it clear what it plans to announce at them.
Meanwhile, IBN reports analysts expect Google hardware partner Asus to announce a updated version of the Nexus 7 tablet at the Computex trade show, which takes places in Taiwan between June 4th and June 8th.
Asus, along with Acer, is also expected to unveil new low-end Android tablets, potentially targeted at emerging markets, with price points potentially as low as $US100 and $US150.
