Google has announced its Google Now app for iPhone, in a bid to head-off a perceived threat to its search business from Apple Siri.
Reuters reports Google Now will be available as a feature in the new version of the Google Search app for iOS, starting on Monday.
Google Now combines information from various Google services onto “cards” which appear for users at different times of the day as the information they contain becomes relevant to the user.
However, unlike the Android version of the app, users will need to have the Google Search app for the cars to appear on iOS.
