How a baby products business has integrated its online store with its warehouse: My Best Tech

Monique Filer is the cofounder of b.box, an award winning baby products line that is distributed globally.

Our main system is MYOB, and that’s the core of our systems, but as our business has grown, we’ve put add-ons on that have helped us to grow. So, for example, we looked for a more capable warehouse and distribution system. Rather than replace the systems we had, we used an add-on, called Datapel WMS Warehouse Management System.

What that allows us to do is have multiple locations, where every bin in the warehouse has a location. So when I’m looking for stock or a particular item, it will tell you where to find it in the warehouse. It’s also very capable when it comes to reporting abilities, and a lot of that is data MYOB.

The other add-on we use is Shopify for our website, and that feeds into our other systems.

So we use Shopify for our B2C sales, and those orders flow through WMS [for fulfilment], and then MYOB for [profit and loss].
