Megaupload founder and alleged cybercriminal Kim Dotcom has now vowed to put the site back online after it was shut by authorities.

Dotcom was arrested in January as part of a bust on the file-sharing site, with authorities alleging the site had allowed the distribution of copyrighted content.

Dotcom said on Twitter this past weekend the site will return.

“SOPA is dead. PIPA is dead. ACTA is dead. MEGA will return,” he said, referring to various pieces of legislation that have failed to be enacted into law. They all attempted to curb the distribution of copyrighted content online.
