Ever dashed off a nasty email to a co-worker or the boss and wished you could have taken it back? A new online service now allows you to send messages to a carrier that bounces them back a day later, giving you that extra time to cool down.
HitMeLater is an email service that acts as a carrier, sending back email messages to your inbox a specified period of time later. Enter the addressee as 24@hitmelater.com, and you’ll see the same message back a day later.
It also allows the user send the email back on a specific day. By addressing the email to wednesday@hitmelater.com, it sends the message back the following Wednesday. By entering 3@hitmelater.com, it sends it back three hours later.
But be sure you don’t enter the wrong number – HitMeLater allows for a 1000 hour delay!
