Phone operators in Europe are complaining that the Nokia Lumia is not selling as well as it would if it used Android.

According to PCPro, while phone companies welcome Windows Phone as an alternative to Apple iOS and Android, they fear that a lack of promotion by Microsoft is hurting sales.

The news comes after ratings agency Moody’s downgraded Nokia’s long-term credit rating to Baa3, one level above junk status.

Moody’s cited tough competition in the smartphone market from vendors such as Samsung and Apple, combined with a slowdown in Nokia’s traditional Symbian feature phone market, as a reason for the downgrade.
