Embattled BlackBerry maker Research in Motion has put one of its two corporate jets on the market, according to reports.
According to news agency Reuters, the Canadian smartphone maker is attempting to sell a nine-seater corporate jet for an estimated $US6 million to $US7 million.
The sale comes as part of a $US1 billion reorganisation at the company amid large scale losses, delays in its next generation BlackBerry 10 devices, and growing marketshare dominance by Apple and Samsung.
The jet goes on sale despite RIM chief executive Thorsten Heins recently stating, “There’s nothing wrong with the company as it exists right now”, a comment that was criticised by industry veterans.
