Samsung claims it has sold 30 million Galaxy S3 smartphones worldwide since its release earlier this year, alongside three million Galaxy Note 2 tablets.

According to GSM Arena, the Galaxy S3 sales figure includes the I9300 as well as carrier-specific versions offered in the United States, Japan and Korea.

Meanwhile according to Engadget, the 5.5-inch stylus-enabled Galaxy Note 2 is now selling three times faster than the original Galaxy Note, which ended up shipping around 10 million units worldwide.

The figures represent healthy sales rates for two of the company’s flagship devices ahead of the Christmas season.
