The US Senate Judiciary Committee has announced that it will investigate Google and Mozilla’s allegations of anti-competitive behaviour by Microsoft.
Earlier this week, Mozilla and Google made allegations that Microsoft has blocked access to key APIs in its forthcoming Windows RT mobile operating system.
If the accusations are true, it means that Mozilla and Google have effectively been blocked from developing versions of Firefox or Chrome for any Windows device running on an ARM processor.
The office of US Senate antitrust subcommittee chairman Herb Kohl (D-Wisconsin) has confirmed to The Hill that committee staff are investigating the claims and their implications under US antitrust law.
